YALE ELDRIDGE BARN

A historic agricultural building, reinterpreted with restrained precision, now houses Yale’s summer art and music students. The renovation preserves the structure’s honest materiality while introducing carefully considered interventions: comfortable dorms, new vertical circulation, and communal living spaces that foster collaboration. Daylight and cross-ventilation are prioritized; while leaning into historic details and materials. The result is a respectful blending of agrarian memory and contemporary comforts — a resilient, refined setting where making and learning can flourish through the summer and beyond.
